Terms and conditions of sale

These terms govern sales made by EVA — Biotecnologia Avançada, Lda. to professional customers (laboratories, hospitals, manufacturers, research centres).

Any order implies unreserved acceptance of these terms. Sales to individuals/consumers are not offered.

Products are intended solely for laboratory research (Research Use Only). They are neither medicines nor food supplements and may not be used for any human, diagnostic or therapeutic purpose.

The professional customer is solely responsible for complying with the regulations applicable to the acquisition, holding and use of the products in their country.

Access to prices and ordering is reserved for professional accounts registered and validated by EVA. EVA reserves the right to refuse or suspend an account without stating reasons.

Prices are shown excluding tax; applicable taxes are added before order confirmation. For professional customers established in the EU with a valid VAT number (VIES), the VAT reverse charge may apply.

Indicative prices may be revised; the applicable price is the one confirmed at the time of order.

The order is firm once confirmed by EVA. The invoice is issued in accordance with applicable Portuguese regulations (certified invoicing).

Accepted payment methods are credit/debit card and crypto-assets, bank transfer and money order (Western Union, Ria, MoneyGram). Available methods are indicated at the time of order.

An order paid by bank transfer or money order is held for the period stated on the instructions page, starting from its creation.

Payment must include the order reference. Failing this, matching the payment to the order cannot be guaranteed.

Once this period has elapsed, the stock is no longer held and its availability is no longer guaranteed; the order remains pending until confirmed or cancelled by EVA. A payment received after this period may still be accepted, subject to the availability of the items.

No shipment takes place before the payment has actually been received.

Fees charged by the issuing institution or the transfer network are borne by the buyer; the amount received by EVA must match the order amount.

Delivery lead times and costs are shown by destination zone at the time of order, before confirmation.

A product's eligibility may vary by destination country. Any customs duties, taxes and import formalities are borne by the customer.

As these are business-to-business sales, the right of withdrawal applicable to consumers does not apply. Any complaint about a defect or non-conformity must be sent to EVA without delay.

EVA's liability is limited to the supply of products conforming to their specifications. EVA cannot be held liable for any use inconsistent with the research-use status.

Products remain the property of EVA until full payment of the price.

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy. These terms are governed by Portuguese law and European Union law; the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction.
